The Farmington PTA Council recently held elections for the 2011 – 2013 school years. All the officers elected have already held positions at a school PTA level and will now take that knowledge to the district level to support the Farmington PTA Council.
The Farmington PTA Council represents 16 early childhood, elementary, upper elementary, middle and high school PTAs and PTSAs located in Farmington and Farmington Hills. Farmington PTA Council is a member of Michigan PTA and National PTA, the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the country. The Farmington PTA Council advocates for all children by focusing the strengths of local PTAs, and PTSAs, by impacting decisions on relevant issues at the local, state and national level, and by providing a forum for leadership development, information exchange, discussion and action on issues affecting youth and children.
