Engineering Society of Detroit Honors Farmington Hills City Hall Revitalization Project

  • July 23, 2012

The Farmington Hills City Hall Revitalization Project received an Honorable Mention for Construction and Design from the Engineering Society of Detroit at its Annual Awards Dinner held in late June. The Engineering Society hosts the annual event to recognize honorees for their teamwork, innovation, and use of technology.

City Hall was cited for achieving its goal of creating an energy efficient building with a contemporary design that visually blended elements of both the old and new buildings. Along with City management, honors went to the building engineers, Strategic Energy Solutions, Inc., and the contractor, Contracting Resources. Farmington Hills City Hall has become a showcase and an educational tool on the benefits of sustainable design and construction.

The Honorable Mention Award was accepted by Farmington Hills Management Assistant Nate Geinzer, who spearheaded the City Hall Revitalization Project. For more information, contact the City Manager’s Office at 248-871-2500.
