Farmington Civic Theater Opens Early Friday, Offers Free Movies Saturday
The Farmington Civic Theater will open early Friday, Nov. 30, as Farmington Public Schools have a half day of school.
Hotel Transylvania (PG) plays at 1:45 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Pitch Perfect (PG-13) has a one early show at 2:35 p.m., while Here Comes the Boom (PG) hits the screen at 4:50 p.m. Show times are available at www.theFCT.com or 248-474-1951.
Farmington Civic Theater will host the annual Farmington Area Goodfellows fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 1. Thanks to a generous, anonymous donor, the Goodfellows are able to use the big screen to collect for those less fortunate. The goal is to have no child or senior without a Christmas.
The theater will show the Christmas favorite The Polar Express and the short Shrek the Halls free of charge with a donation to the Goodfellows. New and unwrapped toys, new books, bags of nonperishable food, cash or checks made payable to the Farmington Goodfellows make impactful contributions to the mission.
The Polar Express will play at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. while Shrek the Halls showtimes are 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. Fifty percent of concession sales during these movies will also go to the Goodfellows.
