Farmington Schools Opens 45 Non-Resident Schools of Choice Seats
Farmington Public Schools will accept Section 105 (non-resident) Schools of Choice applications from Oakland County ISD residents beginning Friday, June 1, 2012 through 4 p.m. on Friday, June 15.
There are 45 openings in Kindergarten (placed at Beechview Elementary School, Gill Elementary School, Kenbrook Elementary School, Lanigan Elementary School and Wood Creek Elementary School), eight openings in grade 9 at Farmington High School, and 15 openings in grade 9 at North Farmington High School for the 2012-2013 school year. Final placement will be determined based upon staffing allocations, space availability, and the number of applications received.
Applications must be received in the Office of Student Support Services and Organizational Leadership by 4 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012. Students will be notified of placement no later than July 1, 2012. If the number of applications received exceeds the number of spaces specified for Section 105 students, the District will use a random draw system to select the applicants who will be considered for enrollment in the identified Section 105 School of Choice slots. If necessary, the lottery will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Lewis Schulman Administrative Center, 32500 Shiawassee Street, Farmington.
Applications can be found online at www.farmington.k12.mi.us and must be mailed or hand-delivered to the Office of Student Support Services and Organizational Development at 32500 Shiawassee, Farmington, MI 48336.
