First Presbyterian Church of Farmington hosts a Scottish Heritage and Highland Happening on Jan. 27, celebrating the church's Scottish heritage. 

The 10 a.m.-11 a.m. worship service will incorporate bagpipers from the St. Andrews Pipe Band and the kirking (or blessing) of more than 30 tartans. 

Immediately following the service, the Highland Happening features more piping, performances by a costumed Highland dancer, Scottish treats and more. 

All are welcome to this free event. The church is located at 26165 Farmington Road and 11 Mile Road in Farmington Hills.
