Garbage, recycling, and yard waste will not be collected in Farmington and Farmington Hills on Thursday, Nov. 24, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Thursday’s collection will be made on Friday, and Friday’s collection will be made on Saturday. Collection schedules for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday remain unchanged.

To ensure pickup, have your garbage at the curbside by 7 a.m.

In the City of Farmington Hills, curbside yard waste pickup will end on your regularly scheduled pickup day Nov. 28 – Dec. 2. Any yard waste accumulated after that week should be stored until spring pickup resumes in early April 2012.

In the City of Farmington, leaf pickup is over for most neighborhoods. The last pick-ups will occur this week; a map and schedule is posted on our site.
