Winners of the Proud Dad essay contest, open to any Farmington Public Schools’ student in kindergarten through eighth grade, have been announced.
Club members received more than 147 essays on “Why I am proud of my Dad (or father-figure) and why he is proud of me.” They were judged on creativity, articulation, style and thought process.
Winners received their awards at the Pre-Fathers’s Day Celebration Picnic on Saturday, June 4, at Shiawasse Park. Teachers with five or more entries also earned awards for participation.
