PTA Reflections National Arts Competition and Art Exhibit
The Art Exhibit for the PTA Reflections National Arts Competition with Farmington High School students was held at Mentobe Cafe on Tuedsay, December 4, 2012.
Categories included Literature, Dance Choreography, Visual Arts, Music Composition, Photography. All students in the country are given the same theme to interpret: "The Magic of a Moment...", so each entry has the same theme shown in a completely unique way. It is so interesting to see what the students have to say!
Generous prize donations came from many sources; local photographer and educator Monte Nagler, DDC Dances, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the city of Farmington Hills Special Services, and Miller's Art Supplies in Farmington Hills.
The evening included all entries displayed in a gallery-style, a video performance of Dipika Krishnaswami's dance entry, a music of Adam Shepard's piano composition, and a live music performance of Annika Andersson's trio musical composition.
