Vista Maria Adds Director and Advisors to Board

(Dearborn Heights, MI ) - Vista Maria, a 129 year-old nonprofit that delivers innovative care, treatment and education to vulnerable youth, names the following to its Board of Directors and Advisors:

 

Board of Director for a term length of three years:

Margaret Warner, a 43 year employee of the Michigan Department of Human Services whose child welfare experience has spanned over 30 years.  In her recent position, Ms. Warner has served as County Child Welfare Director for the Children’s Services Administration in Wayne County.  Her work has been recognized for her attention to the needs of the many, varied child welfare stakeholders.  She currently chairs the Leadership Council of the Wayne County Community Collaborative, is active in the Wayne County Faith Communities Coalitions and the Executive Committee of the Wayne County Community partners Board.

 

Advisor to the Board for a term length of two years:

Maureen Huber, Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Trubiquity, leads financial operations, human resources, customer support and marketing.  Huber, a Farmington Hills resident, brings 15 years of experience in building, leading and advising corporations through complex restructurings, international expansion, and strategic transactions to the appointment with Vista Maria.  Huber earned an Executive MBA from Michigan State University and was listed as Crain’s Detroit Business CFO of the Year 2011.

 

Bridget Hurd, Director of Community Responsibility of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, leads statewide community partnerships and oversees the company’s corporate contributions, and executive and employee volunteer programs.  Hurd, a Southfield resident, brings 17 years of marketing, corporate affairs and communications and philanthropy experience to her appointment with Vista Maria.  Ms. Hurd earned a MBA from Wayne State University and is a past recipient of the Woman of Excellence award by Real Time Media and the Michigan Chronicle 

 

Nicole Lewis, Vice President Client Marketing & Product Development at Kelly Services, Inc., creates marketing strategies and new workforce products for Kelly’s global clients.  A Detroit native, Lewis earned her MBA in Marketing from Wayne State University.  She has been recognized with the 2011 Top Executives in Marketing and Advertising Award by Black Enterprise Magazine and the 2011 Pillar Award for distinguished alumni from Wayne State University’s Irvin D. Reid Honors College.

 

Marie Bowles, CPA and Director, North American Automotive Audit at General Motors Company (GM), provides leadership for internal audits executed within the North American Automotive group and assists GM’s Audit Committee in fulfilling its governance and oversight responsibilities.  Bowles brings 19 years of financial leadership in the areas of corporate accounting and audit management to the Vista Maria appointment.  Bowles earned a Bachelors in  Business Arts degree, with honors, from Eastern Michigan University and is a recent recipient of the GM Chairman’s Honor Award for Corporate Accounting.
