The National Weather Service predicts sunshine all day today, with a high around 40 and winds gusting to 20 miles per hour. The wind dies down tonight, as the temperature drops to around 25.

Coffee with a state Senator
Democratic State Sen. Vincent Gregory (D-Southfield), who represents Farmington and Farmington Hills in the 14th District, and State Rep. Ellen Cogen Lipton (D-Huntington Woods) invite their constituents to the Ferndale Public Library for a meeting today at 7 p.m. Among the topics they'll discuss are the “Hire MI Heroes” legislation and possible uses of the anticipated budget surplus.
4. Look ahead: Coffee with a state representative
State Rep. Vicki Barnett will hold a regular coffee hour Saturday, 10 a.m., at Panera Bread, 34635 Grand River Ave. in Farmington. Barnett's discussions are always informative and a place for lively conversation among constituents of all political stripes.
5. Look ahead: Love Letters
Two Muses Theater, founded by Farmington Hills residents Diane Hill and Barbie Weisserman, presents Love Letters at the Barnes and Noble Theater in West Bloomfield at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
