We're just one day away from the start of the 2012 Downtown Farmington Founders Festival, with pre-glow events at Alley Regalley and Walker's Tavern tomorrow night.
Here's what else you should know today:
1. The weather
There's a 50 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms today, and the National Weather Service predicts the rain will clear out tonight. Expect sun and a high around 87 and low tonight around 66, under cloudy skies.
2. Movie night at the library
Enjoy a showing of Dolphin Tale at the Farmington Community Library Farmington Branch today at 6:30 p.m. Bring a blanket, a picnic dinner and meet friends new and old. There's no charge, and reservations are not required.
3. Miss Farmington pageant

4. Look ahead: Rain barrel, composter workshops
Salem United Church of Christ offers you the chance to purchase a rain barrel or composter at a discounted rate, get advice on how to use them and help putting them together. 5. Look ahead: Blue Star Memorial marker dedication
Join members of three area garden clubs Friday at noon, as they dedicate a marker in Farmington's Memorial Park that pays tribute to the men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. Farmington Hills Girl Scout Troop 4419 will participate.
