We may be getting a pleasant break in the weather today, if the forecast holds. Here's what else you should know today:

1. The weather

The National Weather Service predicts a high of 71 today, with partly sunny skies. A chance of rain – and possibly thunderstorms – returns tonight, as the mercury dips into the 40s.

2. Get fit

If you're looking for exercise classes, check our events calendar. Just today, there's a "Strength" Exercise ClassYOGAChristian Yoga with a Chair and Sit-N-Fit Class for Adults 50 and Over.

3. One Step Aweigh meetings

This free weight-loss support group meets tonight at Farmington Hills City Hall, west entrance in the Zoning conference area. For more information, write to OneStepAWeigh@yahoo.com. Read about group founder Jeffrey Weiss' weight loss story.

4. Look ahead: Governor Warner Mansion Open

The historic home of Michigan's only three-term governor, Fred M. Warner, is open for tours on the first Wednesday of each month, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

5. Look ahead: National Day of Prayer Celebration

Farmington area churches have organized this event on Thursday, 7 p.m., at the Costick Center, to address seven prayer targets; National, State, City, Security, Business/Economic, Public Education, and Family Concerns. There's no charge, and the event is open to the public.
