Botsford Foundation Board Welcomes New Members

Farmington Hills resident William Dwyer and Northville resident Elizabeth Noble join the non-profit's leadership.

The Botsford Foundation Board of Directors recently welcome two new members, Oakland County Commissioner William Dwyer and philanthropy expert Elizabeth Noble.

“These influential individuals bring a great deal of experience to the Board. We appreciate their commitment, input and enthusiasm as we work to create new opportunities for the Foundation, Botsford Hospital, and its supporters,” executive director Margo Gorchow said.

Elected to serve Oakland County's 14th District in 2010, Dwyer is a highly decorated former “top cop” who led the Farmington Hills Police Department for 23 years. After his retirement in 2008, he served as the city of Warren’s police commissioner, a position he left to run for office.

Dwyer holds or has held governance positions with the Optimist Club of Farmington/Farmington Hills, the Farmington/Farmington Hills Multicultural Multiracial Community Council, Farmington Hills’ Commission on Children, Youth and Families, Farmington/Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth and Families and many other organizations. A Farmington Hills resident, he and his wife Doris have two adult sons, David and Michael, and three grandchildren, Kathie, Branden and Jack.

As president of Noble Consulting Group LLP in Detroit, Noble offers clients more than 27 years’ experience in the philanthropic sector, successfully managing local and national non-profit organizations. Before leading her consultancy, she served as vice president of the Detroit Institute of Arts, and has held a variety of leadership positions with the United Way and other organizations. She lives in Northville with her husband, Brian, and has two sons, Chase and Joshua.
