UPDATED: Caregiver Brings Missing Hills Woman to FHPD
Farmington Hills police say 63-year-old Gillian Everett is safe after Canton caregiver brings her home.
Farmington Hills Police say a missing Farmington Hills woman has been found safe and unharmed.
In a press release issued at 2:20 p.m., officials said Gillian Everett's caregiver, Jewell Sanders of Canton, brought the 63-year-old woman into the Farmington Hills Police Department this afternoon.
Sanders faces no charges in connection with this incident. However, the Detroit Free Press reported this afternoon that she may be charged with a parole violation. According to the newspaper, Sanders was on probation after pleading no contest to a charge of operating an adult foster home without a license.
Police issued an alert yesterday seeking information about Everett, who suddenly moved with her live-in caregiver from her Farmington Hills apartment on June 12. Her family had not seen her since then and told police they were concerned because Everett needed medical supervision.
Farmington Hills Police Detective David Stasch said media coverage of the event led to Sanders contacting police.
