Bring the kids to Children's Day at the Old Winery Market Saturday in the Powerhouse/Winery building on Grand River in Farmington, where they will enjoy a variety of activities designed just for them. 

From 10 a.m. to noon, the Farmington Community Library will host a storytime. Representatives from the Nature Discovery Center in Farmington Hills will be on hand with a special activity during that time as well. 

A facepainter and balloon artist will be on duty throughout the day, and families can learn more about the Sun, Water and Seeds 4-H group, which meets in Novi.

Also on Saturday, local bakers can pick up information about the market's annual Pie Contest, which will be held on Feb. 2.
