This weekend, 2011 Farmington High School graduate Kimmy Hay will light up the Ann Arbor Civic Theatre stage in a production of "Legally Blonde: The Musical".
Hay plays the "pink-loving, perky sorority girl Elle Woods, who chases her ex-boyfriend, Warner, from undergraduate school to Harvard Law in hopes of proving herself worthy of being taken seriously," AnnArbor.com reports.
In 2011, Hay starred in Farmington High's production of "Urinetown", an off-beat musical about greed, corruption, love and revolution set in a fictional land that has experienced a 20-year drought. She said the musical took her outside her "comfort zone".
You can see Hay's current production at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre, 911 N. University in Ann Arbor, at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets range from $10-$25. For information, call 734-971-2228 or visit www.a2ct.org.
