Farmington Hills Resident Captures Coyote Photos

A pair of coyotes were spotted walking through Independence Commons subdivision Sunday morning.

Farmington Hills resident Pat O'Neill pulled out a camera Sunday morning as two coyotes wandered through the Independence Commons subdivision.

O'Neill, who captured one of them in clear photos submitted to Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch, wasn't the only resident to report a coyote sighting over the weekend. Linda Weber, who lives just south of the Oakland Community College Orchard Ridge campus, said she and her husband spotted one in their backyard Sunday.

We've added the two locations to a map that shows coyote sightings in Farmington and Farmington Hills. If your location is not listed, share it in a comment and we'll add it.

Then take a look at the big events on our calendar today, as well as those for which you'll need to register or buy tickets later in the week:

Take them seriously. They will easily catch and eat cats and small dogs.

hear them howling at night in the woods behind our house on Hull Ave (between Orchard Lake and Power Rd). There is a den near the stream behind Alameda. We see one or two in our backyard almost daily, as well as a dozen or so deer each day, fox, red tail hawks, and other wildlife.
