Farmington Hills Teen Faces Arson Charge
Police arrest a 14-year-old Sunday after a brush fire at Lanigan Elementary School.
Farmington Hills Police have arrested a 14-year-old Farmington Hills boy in connection with a brush fire on Lanigan Elementary School property.
According to a police report, officers responded to the school at around 5 p.m. Sunday and found flames in long grass and brush on the north end of school property. They used fire extinguishers to douse the blaze, until Farmington Hills firefighters arrived and finished putting it out.
The report indicated that several witnesses identified the teen as having been near the area where the fire started. When police visited his home, he told them he set the fire with a lighter, which was later recovered on school property.
The teen faces a charge of arson. He was released into his father's custody, pending juvenile court proceedings.

This fool should be in jail for a minimum of 5 years. People could have been seriously hurt and personal property damaged for those who live close by. I am sick of these idiot teens causing trouble like breaking into homes, violence, and this garbage. Give them serious punishment. They should know better at this age.
