UPDATED: Farmington Public Safety Asks: Is Anybody Missing an Iguana?

Authorities found the reptile in the 23000 block of Frederick St. today, and located its owner late this afternoon.

 

UPDATE: The owner of a wandering iguana has been found, police announced late Friday afternoon. 

According to a Nixle.com alert, Farmington Public Safety officers found the reptile today in the 23000 block of Frederick St., near Grand River and Farmington Rd. Police called there to investigate a report of a large reptile roaming the area found a healthy, 4-foot long, female iguana resting on the front lawn of a home.

Officers canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the owner, so the iguana was taken to Oakland County Animal Control in Auburn Hills.

HA! I've heard that horses may be the next issue coming through the pipeline, so to speak, but nothing on 4-foot reptiles.
