Farmington Schools Students, Recent Grads Invited to 7 Habits Workshop
The professionally led workshop is based on Sean Covey's best-selling book, 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers'.
The Farmington PTA Council and Farmington Together for Accelerated Learners will offer a workshop this month designed to teach Farmington Schools students habits that will help them be more effective in school and in life.
Students in grades 5-12 and recent graduates are invited to attend “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers”, one-day workshop offered July 26-28, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmington. The professionally run workshop is based on the national bestseller by Sean Covey.
During last year's full day of presentations, videos and activities, students learned about being proactive, putting first things first, and thinking win-win, among other lessons.
At the end of last year's workshop, student Gina Hess said, "I did learn a lot from it." She said one of the lessons was about how to listen more in conversations with her parents, rather than yelling. "You need to mirror back what they're saying," she said.
Registration closes on July 11, and the cost is $65 for all materials. Follow these links to sign up:
