Free Classes Train for Emergency Response, Severe Weather Tracking

Farmington-area residents have opportunities to learn more about how respond in an emergency, and how to see one coming, in free classes offered in March and April.
The Farmington Hills/Farmington Emergency Preparedness Commission (EPC) will present a free series of Emergency and Disaster Response Training sessions every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., March 13 to April 17 at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills. Learn to become a weather spotter during a free SKYWARN training program, also offered by the EPC, on April 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Costick Center. You'll learn how to identify and describe severe storms, to aid the National Weather Service in providing the public with more accurate information. Learn more at fhgov.com.
