Free CPR Classes Offered to Farmington Schools Secondary Students

The registration deadline for the first class, at Farmington High School, is Sept. 21.

 

Farmington Public Schools, the Farmington Hills Fire Department and the City of Farmington Department of Public Safety will again offer CPR training for high school students throughout the school year.

Students can attend any of the scheduled trainings, not just the one at their home high school. Except for the first session, registration is required by the Wednesday before the class. Classes will not be held if fewer than 12 students sign up, and students will be notified if a class is cancelled. 

The training takes four hours and will be offered on Mondays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the following half days of school:

Students must reapply for certification every year. Students who want a Certification card, which costs $20, instead of a free Participation card, should notify their instructor. Details will be explained in the class.
