Helicopter, K-9 Units Called Out in Search for Missing Farmington Hills Woman

Police say Carmen Patricia Miranda-Portelli, 29, was last seen around 6 p.m. in the Grand River/Orchard Lake area.

Farmington Hills Police are asking for the public's help in locating a Farmington Hills woman who was last seen in the Orchard Lake/Grand River area at 6 p.m. yesterday.

Police Cmdr. Matt Koehn said the husband of Carmen Patricia Miranda-Portelli, 29, left their home at 6 p.m. Tuesday. "When he returned at midnight, she was not there, and he has had no contact since," Koehn said.

He added that police do not suspect foul play, but "the family is concerned about her well-being." Miranda-Portelli was last seen wearing a black shirt and black shorts. Anyone with information is asked to call the police command desk, 248-871-2610.

Koehn said the department called in an Oakland County Sheriff's Dept. helicopter and K-9 help in the search. He said police looked at Shiawassee Park in Farmington, because Miranda-Portelli enjoyed visiting there.

Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch readers on Facebook and Twitter reported seeing a helicopter and squad cars at the park and around Botsford Commons around 3 p.m. today, and a resident who lives on Ruth said patrol cars were on that street as well.
