Marriott Extends Affiliation with Farmington Hills Hotel
Crain's Detroit reports that the agreement will last 6 months.
The Courtyard Detroit Farmington Hills hotel will remain a Marriott hotel for the next six months, Crain's Detroit reported Tuesday.
As Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch reported Feb. 1, court documents show the national chain had an agreement with a receiver appointed after the hotel fell into foreclosure, but that agreement expired on Dec. 31, 2012.
31525 W 12 Miles RD MI LLC, referred to as lender and mortgagee, filed suit against Marriott, Inc. Dec. 4, 2012 in Oakland County Circuit Court, alleging that Marriott refuses to recognize its right to continue operating as a Marriott franchise. Crain's reported that both sides have refused comment, because of the lawsuit.
