Moms Talk: Summer Reading

What's on your vacation reading list?

Summer and books just seem to go together, don't they?

The Farmington Community Library offers summer reading programs for children, teens and adults – and we're wondering what's on your reading list this summer? Are you looking forward to one, special book or do you have a whole stack waiting for your vacation?

I just finished Andre Agassi's autobiography, Open. It was better than I expected it to be, couldn't put it down. The rest of the summer I'm looking to historical fiction. Discovered C.W. Gortner and I'm really enjoying his books.

Unfortunately, thanks to a serious lack of focus lately, my "to read" list is longer than my "have read" list. I have a stack of books on my nightstand waiting for me to get to them, but the only thing I've been reading is knitting patterns. But summer is upon us and my schedule gets more fluid when I'm not in charge of shepherding an eighth grader through math class.

I've had on my shelf for a while "Let the Great World Spin," which I put down after the first chapter and never picked back up. I think I'll dig into that one.
