Poll: Farmington Area Gas Prices Top $4, Have Your Driving Habits Changed?

Local prices have risen above the state average.

Gas prices at many Farmington and Farmington Hills stations have risen above $4 a gallon, higher than the current state average reported by AAA Michigan.

According to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report, the average price for regular, self-serve gas is $3.97 state-wide yesterday. Local averages were $4.082 in Farmington Hills and $4.081 in Farmington, as reported in the AAA Fuel Price Finder.

The sites report Michigan's average price has increased 20 cents over the past month; locally, the increase is just under 30 cents.

With the cost of filling up the tank creeping upward, we're wondering:

We own two hybrids and that helps a lot. Also being Costco members gets us gas at their Livonia station a little cheaper
