Tonight's patriotic concert at Nardin Park closes with a rendition of "Battle Hymn of the Republic".

Musicians from Nardin Park United Methodist Church tuned up Tuesday for tonight's "Salute to America" concert, and Farmington-Farmington Hills Patch caught a sneak peek for our readers.

The concert kicks off at 8 p.m., featuring the Nardin Park Chancel Choir, Nardin Park Ringers, organist Melvin Rookus, who is the church's musical director, senior pastor Dr. Dale Miller on piano and University of Michigan alumna Becky Gawron on trumpet. The program includes patriotic favorites, perfect for singing along, and a tribute to the U.S. Armed Forces.

There's no admission charge, but donations are welcome. The concert is part of the church's Wednesdays at Eight Summer Music Concert series.
