If you've wanted to check out that new release but haven't made time for a movie night, Redbox has you covered.

To celebrate the company's two billionth disc being rented last weekend, Redbox is offering a free, one-night movie rental on Thursday. To get the freebie, the rental must be made at a kiosk using the promotional code THANKS2U.

In Farmington Kroger locations at 25780 Middlebelt Rd. and37550 W 12 Mile Rd. both have Redbox kiosks; both are open daily 6 a.m. to midnight. 

And for those wondering, the two billionth rental was the movie Drive and it was rented at a McDonald’s in Philomath, OR.
