Suspect Arrested in Farmington's Floral Park Larcenies Case
A Dearborn Heights man faces charges of one count of larceny from automobile and was ordered to Oakland County Jail Friday.
Joseph Lee Danko, 20, of Dearborn Heights, was arrested by Farmington police Friday in connection with a string of thefts from automobiles that occurred in Farmington's Floral Park subdivision between June 19 and July 3.
According to a release by the Farmington Public Safety Department, investigators identified Danko as a suspect after his fingerprints were found in one of the victim’s vehicles.
Danko pleaded not guilty to one count of larceny from automobile, a five-year felony, during his arraignment on Friday at the 47th District Court.
Farmington detectives are continuing their investigation and waiting on crime lab results in order to tie Danko to six other thefts that occurred on Violet Street, according to the release.
The Farmington Public Safety Department reminds residents to lock their car doors and remove valuable items from vehicles when parked overnight, and to report any suspicious people, vehicles or situations in their neighborhood to police.
Danko was ordered to the Oakland County Jail pending his pre-exam conference on July 18 at 1:30 p.m.
