Tag Days Benefit Farmington Schools Music Programs
Music students in full uniform will be at area businesses and public places, offering band concert tickets in exchange for donations.
If you're traveling in Farmington, Farmington Hills, West Bloomfield, Novi or Livonia Oct. 5 and 6, keep an eye out for Farmington Schools music students, all in full uniform.
They'll be at a variety of public places and businesses raising money during "Tag Days", to enhance music programs at Farmington, Harrison and North Farmington high schools. In exchange for each donation, patrons will recieve a “TAG” which good for free admission to one of the concerts listed on the ticket.
Hours on Friday are 3 p.m.-9 p.m. and on Saturday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Watch for the “Dirty Dozen” pep band, which will be playing at different businesses during the two-day event.
For more than 40 years, this huge annual fundraising event has provided for a variety of enhancements to the schools' music programs, from guest instuctors and private lessons to clinics, band camps, instrument repairs, supplies and more.
