An 18-year-old Farmington Hills resident faces a charge of carrying a concealed weapon, found after Farmington Public Safety officers caught him and another teen near the Drakeshire Apartments swimming pool early Sunday morning. 

According to the report, two teen-aged girls were in the pool, but ran off after officers arrived. A pat down search of the Farmington Hills teen's backpack uncovered a .32 caliber revolver, which was unloaded but operational. The teen said he found it in a park. Police confiscated the weapon, took the Farmington Hills teen into custody and released the other teen, with a warning that he would be arrested for trespassing if he returned to the property. 

Thefts

A man flagged police down at around 2:15 a.m. Monday, to report that someone had stolen his iPhone while it sat on a table at a downtown Farmington bar between midnight and 2 a.m. According to the report, the man told police that the bar manager found no clues while reviewing surveillance tapes. 

The owner of a Farmington business called police Sunday afternoon, to report that a trailer had been stolen from a property at Eight Mile and Chesley St. According to the report, the Livonia man told police he had permission to park semi-trucks and trailers on the property. An employee parked the trailer on Aug. 15, and when the owner drove by on Sunday, it was gone. A second trailer on site on Aug. 15 was still there. The man told police he intended to file an insurance claim. 

Alcohol-related arrests

A 29-year-old Birmingham woman faces a charge of drunken driving, after an officer spotted her vehicle speeding and running a red light at Grand River and Drake around 2:40 a.m. Aug. 17. According to the report, the officer noticed an odor of intoxicants as he spoke with the driver, who said she was coming home from work at Trumpp's in Detroit and got lost. A preliminary breath test showed her blood alcohol was .09, which is above the .08 legal limit. 

Two 19-year-olds from Livonia faces charges of minor consumption, after an officer stopped a "party bus" at Grand River and Shiawassee around 11:15 p.m. Aug. 16. According to the report, the bus was traveling west on Grand River and riding in the middle of two lanes. As the officer spoke with the driver, he noticed a strong odor of intoxicants and that some of the passengers appeared underage. Preliminary breath tests showed the teens from Livonia had blood alcohol contents of .06 and .04; it is against Michigan law for anyone under age 21 to consume alcohol. The two were ticketed, and everyone was released.
