Thieves Strike Vehicles in Farmington Hills Neighborhoods

Farmington Hills Police say vehicles were left unlocked, according to a Nixle.com alert.

Some Farmington Hills residents in neighborhoods north of Nine Mile and west of Drake Road woke this morning to an unpleasant surprise.

According to a Nixle.com alert, the Farmington Hills Police Department (FHPD) is investigating a number of overnight larcenies from vehicles in that area. The alert noted that most of the vehicles were left unlocked and parked in the driveway, with valuables left in plain view.

Anyone whose vehicle was entered should not disturb anything inside and should immediately call Farmington Hills Police.

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call 248-871-2610. The alert also included a reminder from FHPD's Crime Prevention Section to make sure parked vehicles are locked, with valuables removed.
