Unity of Farmington Hills, in partnership with S.O.U.L. (Source of Universal Love), a local nonprofit, supported 56 families in need over the Christmas holiday through its Pick A Mitten drive. The two organizations held a Christmas party on Dec. 22 that was attended by 150 families and volunteers who helped serve cookies and cocoa. The day included visits and photos with Santa, music, and a holiday craft. Unity's music director Dr. Emry Stephens led the group in singing holiday songs. The party and Pick a Mitten drive were so successful that Unity plans to make them annual events.
