What is ptsk? I've heard of ptsd. Is it a typo?
Chris Fellin August 31, 2013 at 01:49 pm
Yes, you are correct; it should be PTSD. Thanks.

I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, hypermobility type. EDS is a genetic connective tissue disorder thatRead More causes the body to make defective collagen. EDSers can fidget a lot because we have a lot of pain, joint dislocations, subluxations, brain fog etc. My oldest was first diagnosed with AD/HD in second grade. By middle school it had been decided that he actually had Asperger Syndrome. I saw a theory on one of the support groups concerning the possibility that some with AD/HD, or Aspergers may also have EDS. Not many doctors are familiar with EDS but there is an awareness effort that is ongoing. Since my children are grown, and it was determined that my eldest had Asoerger instead of AD/HD, I won't be going to the conference. I do wonder though if EDS is being missed in some children with an AD/HD and/or Asperger diagnosis. I was 46 before I was finally diagnosed with EDS. At the moment, people with severe cases seem to be the only ones diagnosed but I hope that changes. I just wanted to give the information in case someone else could use it. Thank you for listening.
