I agree with Bryce. The Ice Rink is not worth the trade off of losing our grass all summer.

It doesn't need to be a trade-off; this is just a matter of poor execution for this first season. Read MoreO nce the drainage and new grass/surface combination is installed, both attractions should (I repeat, SHOULD) be able to co-exist. But I, too, am deeply disappointed at how this has been handled. The ice rink was an eyesore with orange plastic barricade fencing and what appeared to be well-worn rink walls, unacceptable given the "Currier & Ives" depictions in the renderings and fundraising materials, and there's no excuse for the gravel pit presently occupying the site. While I am a supporter of both uses, I think we have a right to demand a nicer appearance and smoother, more timely transition this winter and next summer.
