Adult Learning Institute (ALI) at OCC Orchard Ridge Campus presents its fall program of continuing education classes for retired and semi-retired people ages 55+, who enjoy learning. Fall 2012 semester - Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sept. 11 - Oct. 25th, 10 - 11:30 am and 1 - 2:30 pm - (lunch available.)  All classes are open and available all the time.   For only $100/semester, pick and choose which classes you wish to attend among 42 varied and interactive offerings. Sample topics in art, politics, science, literature and music include: The Dave Bennett Quartet, The Evolving Role of Money in U.S. Politics, Buddhist Psychology, Galileo and His Universe, and Detroit's DIA Masterpieces of German Expressionism.  Registration materials available on line at www.ali-occ-org.  Email for more information to info@ali-occ.org or call and leave a message at 248-522-3518.

Established in 1967, Oakland Community College's Orchard Ridge campus offers career programs in Computer Informational Systems, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Music, Construction Management, Paralegal and many other fields. The Orchard Ridge campus is home to OCC's award-winning Culinary Arts program and an ice carving team that consistently wins national and international recognition. Culinary students maintain an on-campus restaurant, Ridgewood Cafe, that hosts public events and programs. There are 13 buildings on the 147-acre campus, including Smith Theatre and Womencenter, which provides resources to students and programs available to the public.
