A Certified Lactation Consultant or Breastfeeding Educator teaches you the benefits and advantages of breast feeding, latch on, basic nursing positions, common problems, how to pump and store breast milk and more. More About Botsford General Hospital
Founded in Detroit in 1944 as Zieger Osteopathic Hospital, Botsford General Hospital serves residents in southern Oakland County and western Wayne County. The 330-bed facility is also a certified trauma center and is certified as an environmentally friendly cancer center. In addition to the main campus, which includes the hospital, Botsford has a number of facilities and offices in and around the community. Botsford records more than 17,000 in-patient admissions and 59,391 emergency room visits annually, served by a staff of 641 highly qualified medical professionals. Botsford has a total staff of 2,473, making it the largest employer in Farmington Hills. The hospital is a teaching site for Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine.
