Botsford Hospital's Diabetes & Nutrition Services Department is offering a five-week, action-packed class to people who have prediabetes, which is when a person's blood glucose levels are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. Recent research has shown that some long-term damage to the body, especially the heart and circulatory system, may already be occurring during prediabetes. The good news is there are things you can do to prevent or delay the development of type 2 diabetes. This class will show you how to take better care of yourself by helping you make needed lifestyle changes for diabetes prevention. Call to register.
