Fall Night Hikes at Heritage Park

Have you ever wondered what Heritage Park is like after the sun goes down? Join Nature Center staff for a Fall Night Hike and enjoy the autumn night air, listen for nocturnal animals, observe the night sky, and heighten your senses along the way!

The hikes are designed for families and children four years old and above. No flashlights are required.

Each Fall Night Hike will meet inside the Nature Center in Heritage Park. The cost is $3 per person. Pre-registration is encouraged at the Costick Center or online at http://recreg.fhgov.com. Participants are also welcome to pay at the door on the night of the program, but space is limited. In case of inclement weather, participants will be notified of a cancellation.

The Farmington Hills Nature Center is located in Heritage Park at 24915 Farmington Road, between 10 and 11 Mile Roads. Call the Nature Center at 248-477-1135 or email asimons@fhgov.com for more information about upcoming programs.

With its rolling hills, winding nature trails, amphitheater, splash pad, playground and picnic facilities, Heritage Park offers activities for every season. This 211-acre park is home to the Vagnozzi Visitors Center in the historic Spicer House, Nature Center Day Camp, the Heritage & History Center in Farmington Hills and the Longacre House, a community center. The large picnic shelter is open on a first-come, first-served basis, but it may be reserved for a small fee. Call for information.
