Birmingham Temple: Society for Humanistic Judaism
The Birmingham Temple believes and supports the commitments of humanistic Judaism. Humanistic Jews think in a modern context and celebrate being Jewish by non-theistic Jewish rituals and celebrations. Humanistic Jews take pride in their Jewish culture and heritage, but celebrate and live it in a more modern way. The Birmingham Temple offers a multitude of programs including temple school, Jewish history, philosophy, Hebrew, bar and bat mitzah programs, a book club, a dinner club, Shabbat dinners and clubs for men, women, kids, seniors, singles and writers. At the Birmingham temple, all Jewish holidays are celebrated.
