3 Ways to Help with Downtown Farmington's Big Fall Celebration

Donate cut wild flowers, help decorate or volunteer during this weekend's Harvest Moon celebration

The Farmington Downtown Development Authority (DDA) needs volunteers to help put together the annual Harvest Moon celebration, held Sept. 26-28.

Here are three ways you can make this the best Harvest Moon ever:

1. Flower cutters
Bring cut wild flowers to the Walter E. Sundquist Farmington Pavilion to help decorate. Just drop them off in any corner inside the pavilion.

2. Cornstalks and downtown
Meet at the pavilion at 5 p.m. on Wednesday to help decorate downtown Farmington for the event. Contact volunteer coordinator Melissa Andrade if you plan to attend, 248-421-7770, as pizza will be served.

3. The Harvest Moon Celebration
Volunteers are still needed, mainly for the second shift on Thursday and Friday nights. Sign up online or call 248-421-7770.
