5 Farmington Hills Events to Add to Your September Calendar

Learn Pickle Ball or enjoy a fashion show that benefits Longacre House.

Departments within the City of Farmington Hills will offer a number of events in September, including these five: 

1. Pickleball clinic

Try out this popular game or hone your skills. Sept. 4, 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Equipment and nets provided. Held at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills. 

2. Try hockey free

Kids ages 4-9 are welcome to attend this Sept. 8, 1 p.m. event, held at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena on Eight Mile Road. Equipment provided, skate rentals available. Sign up at maha.org/TryHockey.aspx.

3. Frank Sinatra Tribute

The 2013-2014 Cultural Arts Concert Series opens Sept. 14 at the Farmington Players Barn, with "Fabulous Frank", singer Peter Oprisko’s renowned tribute to
Frank Sinatra. Tickets on sale at https://recreg.fhgov.com, by calling 248-473-1848 or at the Costick Center. 

4. Total Wellness Fair

Designed for for adults 50 and better, this free event will be held on Sept. 17, 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Costick Center. For more information, call the Senior Division at 248-473-1830.

5. Longacre House fashion show benefit

The Sept. 26 event will be held at Glen Oaks Country Club, Farmington Hills. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased by calling 248-477-8404, or by mail, with a check made out to "Friends of the Parks" sent to The Longacre House, 24705 Farmington Rd., Farmington Hills, MI 48336.
