Farmington Council Tuesday Agenda Includes SMART Bus Presentation

Officials will hold a study session at 6 p.m. and a closed meeting before taking up their regular agenda at 7 p.m.

Farmington city officials will hear a report Tuesday on SMART (Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation) bus service.

A 2012 renewal of the millage that supports SMART bus service in Farmington and Farmington Hills expires this year. Oakland County ombudsman Steven Brown will share information on ridership and other issues.

The council's 6 p.m. study session agenda includes a discussion of board and committee appointments and multi-year budget forecast, along with a closed session to discuss a land acquisition.

In addition to the SMART presentation, the 7 p.m. agenda includes resolutions allowing wine tastings at the Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market, board and committee appointments and other items. Full agendas for both meetings are available on the city's website.
