Register for 'Inside Out' Fun in Farmington Hills

The Jan. 24 event gives families a chance to enjoy outdoor activities at the Costick Center.

Learn more about the benefits of getting outdoors during “Inside Out”, a City of Farmington Hills Department of Special Services program held Jan. 24, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Costick Center.

“Families who come to ‘Inside Out’ will experience lots of outdoor activities – just indoors!” said Bryan Farmer, Special Services deputy director. “They’ll also learn about what the City of Farmington Hills has to offer in terms of parks, trails, camps, and classes at the Nature Center.”

Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Here's some of what families can expect to learn about and enjoy:

  • canoeing/kayaking
  • archery
  • fishing pole casting
  • an indoor picnic
  • nature hike
  • bouncer
  • “Dan the Creature Man” live animal show (7 p.m.)

“Inside Out” is offered in partnership with the Farmington Area Optimist Club, Heavner’s Canoe Rental, and Busch’s Fresh Food Market. Register online at fhgov.com, stop by the Costick Center, or call 248-473-1800. The fee for dinner and all activities is $8 for residents, $13 for non-residents; ages 2 and under are admitted free.
