Basic Computer Classes Offered for Older Adults

Learn computer and social media basics to keep up with loved ones, friends and former colleagues. Held at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays beginning Mar. 7, 2014, the Digital Literacy Series consists of six one-hour sessions in a relaxed classroom setting.

Topics include Intro to Computers (Mar. 7); E-mail Basics (Mar. 14); Internet Basics & Data Security (Mar. 21); Getting Started with Facebook (Mar. 28); iPad/iPhone Fundamentals (Apr. 4); and Video Phone Calls (Apr. 11). Participants may sign up for the entire series or for single classes. Each class is $10.

Pre-registration with advance payment is required. The classes are open to the public and will be held at the David B. Hermelin ORT Resource Center, inside the Jewish Community Center, 6600 W.
