East Middle School celebrates 50 years

East Middle School is celebrating 50 years of service to the Farmington and Farmington Hills communities. On April 2 at 7 p.m., there will be a celebration at the school, complete with a presentation of "East Through the Years," which highlights how the school has changed since opening its doors in 1963. The school's choir, band and orchestra will also play at the event, and attendees can view East's new mural depicting its 50 years in the community. Attendees can also tour the building, view a display of student art work, and enjoy some cake and punch. This event is free and open to the public. East welcomes alumni and all community members to attend. East is located at 25000 Middlebelt Road in Farmington Hills. For more information, contact Mary Manier, (616) 283-2644, or East Principal Ken Sanders, ken.sanders@farmington.k12.mi.us.
