Emergency medicine specialist Zachary J. Baselle, D.O., joins Botsford Hospital medical staff

Zachary J. Baselle, D.O., has joined the medical staff at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. As a member of Farmington Emergency Medical Associates, PLC, Dr. Baselle is among the 19 specially-trained physicians who diagnose and treat patients in Botsford's Emergency and Trauma Center.  
 
After graduating from A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri, Dr. Baselle completed his four-year emergency medicine residency at Botsford. During that time, he served as chief resident of emergency medicine and as an EMS lecturer, providing training for paramedics, local fire departments, and paramedic students. As a resident, Dr. Baselle also gave more than 20 lectures to Botsford staff physicians and residents on a variety of topics involving emergency medicine.
 
Dr. Baselle has delivered medical care to the people of one of the poorest countries in Latin America---Guatemala---during two medical missions. As an undergraduate student at Albion College, he coordinated the building of two Habitat for Humanity homes that allowed two families to break their cycle of poverty. Also while at Albion, he served as the 2005 class president, chaired the student affairs senate, and served as president of his fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi. 
 
Dr. Baselle is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Michigan Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
