Hillel Day School Announces First Distinguished Alumni Award

Hillel Day School of Metro Detroit values each and every one of the thousands of students who have graduated from its school, now in its 55th year.

This year, the Farmington Hills day school plans to formally recognize the many outstanding alumni whose superlative achievements are worth noting. The first-ever Distinguished Alumni Award has been announced with nominations now open.

“The award is an ongoing tribute to the strength of our educational program,” said Cheryl Schanes, Director of Development. “It’s our chance to celebrate the successes of our graduates, and to invite them back to school to share their stories.”

Metro Detroit is home to many classmates, relatives, or friends of accomplished Hillel alumni, and the public is encouraged to suggest names for the honor. Nominees must have distinguished themselves in one of more of the following areas: leadership, service, career, humanitarianism, creativity and courage. The recipients will be selected by a committee from Hillel Day School.

Nominations are due by Friday, January 17, 2014. For more information on how to enter, please contact Cheryl Schanes at 248-539-1488 or visit the Hillel Alumni page at www.HillelDay.org/alumni_portal
