Joni Hubred-Golden where is she?

What happened to Joni Hubred-Golden?  I really liked her local take on the patch.  I come to the patch for extremely local news, not national or regional news?  Does anyone else wonder where Joni is?

I think it is safe to say our "Hyper Local news" is long gone. That's too bad. http://www.thewire.com/business/2014/01/patch-lays-hundreds-staffers-one-short-conference-call/357510/

Thank you, Mr. Ferguson, for providing that link. It's all very sad, especially Joni's departure. I agree with the above comments, the only real reason to read Patch was the hyper-local coverage and Joni's excellent reporting, editorial, and overall stewardship. I hope someone at Patch is reading this, because in Farmington the company is committing commercial suicide.

I totally agree with all the comments above.....Joni provided local news, opinions, excellent wide-spread coverage of many things that helped keep the residents informed. Pam Wright

I just filled out a survey a couple of days earlier. The survey asked what we would like to read of see in the Patch. I clicked on more local news. I wonder if they will get a lot of replies with the same response and if they will respond favorably?

I sent Joni an e-mail back on 12/16 stating that I read then that AOL was considering getting ride of the Patch. She returned my e-mail stating only that "The Patch will stay". Unfortunately nothing about her staying. While we may not have always agreed with her she was a great deliverer of the important local news and allowed people to speak..
