New M-5 mile markers

Anyone know why the mile markers on M-5 say Mile 15.0 or so as you drive past Farmington Road?  The highway portion of M-5 is only 11 miles long from Grand River to Pontiac Trail, so what are we 15 miles away from when we are driving this stretch of M-5?
